Zed Aksis has been active in Montreal’s electronic music scene since 1999. When he was 20, his taste for electronic music started to show up while he was working as a DJ in his hometown. Then came two SL-1200 MK2. Ever since, his passion as a deejay as been growing just as fast as his talent. Zed Aksis has been playing with the likes James Monro and Humate. He also played in major renowned clubs in Montréal such as the « Circus After-hours » and the « Parking », and also in major events like the well known Evolution Radar One. He has traveled inside Canada as well as in the United States.

From percussions to xylophone to trumpet and guitar, he has been playing a lot of instruments before he chose the turntables.
It’s with all he acquired in his childhood while he was musically active, and what he has been acquiring in the later years in computer science that he started his production career. He is currently producing with a partner in the duo “Les Limaces”, who released not even a year after they started producing.

His sound is progressive, electro with a bit of techno, always evolving, changing. Zed Aksis is showing us with each mix session what is going on, on the z-axis.
